Complex Collections

Aggressive Collection of Civil Judgments

Michael has substantial experience in collecting civil judgments whether domestic or foreign.  In 2017-2018, Michael collected, in full, a substantial monetary judgment that had been obtained against a German national who had defrauded citizens of Florida.  When the debtor attempted to remove or conceal assets subject to the judgment lien from Okaloosa County, Florida, Michael traced the assets and locations of those that had removed them through transponder records, and eventually to the Maersk Omaha which had shipped the goods to the Netherlands.  In several other cases Michael has domesticated or registered foreign judgments and levied upon property Nationwide to obtain satisfaction.  Michael enjoys the challenge of complex collection cases, and would be happy to work with you or your clients to find assets and recover.
